Fettercairn 24

From Fettercairn's superb, newly redesigned range. Very smart looking, this 24 year old also boasts an impressive flavour; Serge Valentin of WhiskyFun.com commented that this is "an old Highlander in velvet gloves. It's very good."

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Nutty, spicy nose with notes of caramel, toffee popcorn, calves leather, beeswax, granary toast and hints of walnut cake.

Palate Malty and spicy with notes of berry fruits, star anise, a little orange zest, cocoa and coffee beans.

Finish Long and fruity with notes of buttery toffee and malt.

Reviews for Fettercairn 24 Year Old 1984
It's very good, but not $220 good
I have to give it a good rating for the taste and finish. But as much as I enjoy it, I keep thinking of 3 other bottles I could have bought together for the same price, and enjoyed just as much.

Love the sweetness of this one. I was lucky, well still am as I'm typing this, to try this as a part of the advent calendar. It has to be my favourite out of them yet.

Wow
This whisky ticks all the boxes. First when it arrives you are stunned by the presentation box, a very impressive gift.
Then you open the box and you see what is probably the best presentation of a whisky I have seen

Right lets get down to the real test, tasting. I recommend that you taste this whisky alone because it will bring tears to your eyes. Not only is it having a great first taste, the flavours carry on after you have swallowed. The tastes that come through are in order, firstly you get the a woody peaty taste that then softens into a woody tang and then when you think it's all over a fruity plum leaves a wonderful aroma in your mouth. It is a full meal in itself, and one for the whisky safe

Buy now this is wonderful
