The Famous Grouse 16 Year Old Double Matured blended Scotch whisky is a limited edition release that has been finished in a combination of first-fill Spanish sherry casks and first-fill bourbon casks. Handsomely presented, with a design produced by renowned illustrator Vic Lee.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Poached pears, runny caramel and Victoria sponge cake (sounds like quite a yummy dessert!).
Palate
Sweet fruit and vanilla notes continue, but vibrant hints of cinnamon and nutmeg spice develop at the centre, adding depth and warmth.
Finish
Spicy to the finish.
Overall
A rather enjoyable blend with a fair share of complexity to it.
