A one-litre bottling of Famous Grouse 16 Year Old Double Matured, which is finished in a combination of first-fill Spanish sherry casks and first-fill American bourbon casks. The renowned large game bird on the label has also been given a makeover by illustrator Vic Lee.

Poached pears, runny caramel and Victoria sponge cake (sounds like quite a yummy dessert!).
Sweet fruit and vanilla notes continue, but vibrant hints of cinnamon and nutmeg spice develop at the centre, adding depth and warmth.
Spicy to the finish.
A rather enjoyable blend with a fair share of complexity to it.
Absolutely beautiful whisky. Just shows how incredible a famous grouse can be. The art work almost makes it impossible to think about finnishing the bottle.
