Independent bottler Fable Whisky has tried its hand at blending, with delicious results! This is Batch One of its blended malt Scotch whisky, featuring more artwork by illustrator Hugo Cuellar on the label – with a hound, some crows, and the moon on it. We wonder why that could be...?

Nose

Green apple, buttered brown bread, liquorice.

Palate

Chocolate ice cream, wheat biscuits, Crunchie bars, vanilla blossom.

Finish

A touch of peppery spice and ground nutmeg.

A good whisky, if you want to splash out.

First ever bottle from this distillery, received as a Xmas present. First nose, very pleasant, but could smell it was going to be a 'hot one'! First sip confirmed this - rolling around my.mouth, I could feel the heat. I wouldn't call it smooth, but also it's not harsh. Leaves a beautiful, slightly burning aftertaste of honey and oak. I was surprised how pale it is after 7 years in oak though? Reminded me of Ledaig.
