This is the entry level bourbon from the Ezra Brooks range, which was first produced back in the 1950s. These days it's produced by Lux Row Distillers in Kentucky. Good value for money, this one, and well suited for use in cocktails and mixed drinks.
Nose: Buttery corn and hints of vanilla pod.
Palate: Honey, mocha and maple syrup.
Finish: Peppery and warming.

This is by far and away the best bourbon I've had at this price point. Fantastic value for money. I've had it neat, with a drop of water, and made into an old fashioned - and it's consistently delicious!

Bests value for money i can think of, tastes just like Blantons Gold but at a fifth of the price.Has displaced Woodford as my go-to, its the best 80 proof out there

Normally do not care for 80 proof or even 86 proof. 80 proof is usually a "dust off the bottom shelf whiskey" For that reason my basic cupboard stock is mostly BIB 100 proof minimums like Old Forester and George Dickel I did like Ezra Brooks 7 year at 117 proof and the Ezra Brooks 90 proof is very good as well. I like high corn bills so at 78% corn Ezra Brooks checks that box. I did not expect much from EB 80 proof, but IMO it is as good as 80 proof is going to get and beats the other 80 proofs like JB and JD hands down. EB 80 proof will always have a home in my kitchen. It does not drink like a bottom shelf 80 proofer. It would be a bargain even if it were $5-$7 more.

I was a scotch drinker for many years but tired of earthy flavor and lack of a bit of sweetness. As many people in TX I drank Jim Beam for some time but preferred Jack Daniels which seemed a little over priced. The whisky guy at my liquor store recommended Ezra Brooks because it has the JD flavor but more buttery taste & pricing compatible w/ J B

Best whiskey that I had in a long time. This whiskey has a great future. Please don’t raise the price. Much better than Jack or Jim. And American owned.

This is great value in the US and is a better value than Beam or JD. And better bourbon, too, regardless of price. From my research it's Heaven Hill distillery, aged 5+ years, 78% corn/10% rye/12% malt (a "traditional" bourbon mash bill).IMHO this is on par with Ezra Brooks Black Label - Ezra is 45% but Evan is a bit more aged. Both are great value.
