Evan Williams White Label Bottling Note

A classic in every sense of the word, Evan Williams White Label Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey is a favourite of the back-bar around the world. Bottled at a higher ABV than the regular Evan Williams, the White Label is pleasantly warming with black pepper and cinnamon spice.

Reviews for Evan Williams White Label
Sweet and likable
Everything it's cracked up to be: sweet, well-rounded, and likable. Nothing complicated, but what it does, it does well. As one reviewer said — it's fun.

At first taste, reminded me of Metaxa 12!

The only thing that grates is the price. You can pick this up for less than $15 in the US, and for the price you pay in the UK (nearly £35), there's better whisk(e)y to be had.

Still, it makes a pleasant change, and it's not often you get moreish, sippable booze from a bottle with a white plastic screwtop lid.

Needs water to unfold it's sweet nature.
The prev review below is spot on:

Without water: HOT! The hottest 100 proof BiB I ever tasted, quite a bite on the ol' tongue and it masked whatever flavor it gave. I usually like over-proof whiskeys, but this one was a tad aggressive, even for me, so I added a tablespoon of water.

With Water, some good things happened: A rich, toffee, cinnamon taste and you have a clear sense of the casks in the finish, with some citrus fruit also. Very nice for the price.

Great quality for the price.
Very "juicy" and enjoyable.
Balanced, smooth, a little bit of a bite (wich I like), slight salty caramel,
"nutty", hints of cherry, vanilla, raisins,
apricot/orange marmelade, maybe some herbal notes aswell.
Great quality for the price.

Excellent
What a great whisky, and what a great price. I love my expensive single malts, and can afford them. But, I still enjoy Evan b&b and think it has a great taste. If all I could afford was evan I wouldn't feel bad. Good stuff.

Solid Value, Full and Rich
Evan Williams White Label is rich and full-bodied, a real value in the USA, because it can be had for $23.00 for a 1.75 liter bottle. I am not going to talk about all the cinammon and leather notes, because I am not good at detecting these things. What I do know is that it is a real solid and dependable bourbon, it is not strictly a "mixer;" it is perfectly suited to be taken neat, on the rocks, or as a mixed drink. I have a large respect for it.

Great bourbon at moderate price.
Just tried E.W. White Label and it’s delicious.

My favorite daily sipper
I love good single malt scotch, but can't afford it as a daily dram. I drink Evan b&b five days a week. I have tried other budget bourbons, but nothing else beats the value, or taste.
