This robust single malt joins the heavily peated Ballechin series from Highland distillery Edradour. Matured for 13 years, this cask strength edition weighs in at a hearty 54.9%, and it's packed with plenty of rich smoke and spiced fruit.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Smouldering embers and charred oak lead the way with honeyed sultanas and plums in tow.
Palate
Dense layers of peat smoke mingle with woody clove and anise, followed by dried orange wheels, dipped in dark chocolate.
Finish
Sweet dried fruits emerge from the smoke, with salted nuts and peppery oak.
