A well-matured expression here from the Edradour Distillery, distilled in 1999 and aged for 21 years – including a period in a pair of Bordeaux wine casks. Edradour's excellent quality spirit works rather well with the bold fruity notes imparted by wine casks, so we're expecting big things from this one.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Redcurrants, chocolate cheesecake, toffee, and red apples.
Palate
Still quite chocolatey, with malty warmth developing alongside helpings of toasted oak.
Finish
Orange zest, Nutella on toast, and cassia.
