Reviews for Edradour 2000 Natural Cask Strength (cask 1032) - Ibisco Decanter
Emence!
Fantastic Sherry Bomb going on here. The taste has so much going on so much so that its overwhelms the Nose. Don't see that very often! Un-Chillfiltered but not to sure of the Coloring? wither way, its unreal.

Christmas!
This stuff tastes like Christmas. I was lucky enough to get a bit of this from a buddy of mine and as far as sweet scotches go (I'm more into Peated) this is by far my favorite. Its very different from anything I have had from Edradour. Great stuff.

Over the top.
Off the scale in terms of barrel influence (Pedro Ximenez or Dark Rum?)this is beyond whiskey and has become something else, just look at that colour. Nose could be dark rum - honest! - molasses, raisins, burned treacle toffee. OK, there's plenty else going on (xmas spices/ tangerine peel?) but swamped by the headline notes.

I note that Ibisco translates as 'Hibiscus' appropriately.

Taste is a challenge due to the strength even with a teaspoon of water. Great length of finish but its overwhelming. In conclusion: if Sherried Whiskey is your taste this could be your pinnacle & I hope you like it, but its not for me.

xmas pudding
Rich, dark & powerful, nose is surprisingly similar to a dark rum. Taste is complex to the extreme reminding me of hot xmas pudding with melted rum butter.
