Ballechin 13 Year Old 2004 (cask 12) - Straight From The Cask
Peated single malt from the Edradour distillery, released under their Ballechin name and bottled for their Straight From The Cask range. This particular bottling was aged for 12 years in a single Burgundy wine cask, from January 2004 to March 2017. 404 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Fruity sweetness (almost Armagnac-like) at first, with slowly growing waves of earthy smoke.
Palate
Cherries, forest floor, honey'd cereal, oatcakes and dark chocolate.
Finish
Oily oak and peat smoke.
