Sherry
A brill Ballechin single malt here from the Edradour Distillery, pitting the peaty single malt against oodles of Oloroso sherry deliciousness. This smoky whisky was distilled back in August 2009 and left to age in a single Oloroso sherry cask for 10 years before being bottled in February 2020. A release of 979 bottles.
Good quality coffee, burnt oak, raisins and sultanas.
Cinder toffee, Sesame Snaps, orange oil and Cadbury's Fruit and Nut.
The smoky, peaty elements stand out on the long finish.
