Behold, East London Liquor Co.'s 2020 edition of its fab London Rye whisky! Made at the distillery in Bow Wharf, this excellent expression is made with a combination of 42% malted rye and 58% malted barley, and matured in an intriguing combination of casks. This edition was drawn from virgin French oak casks, chestnut casks, STR (shaved, toasted, recharred) sherry casks, and bourbon casks!
Caramel apples and milk chocolate, followed by a good kick of peppercorn.
Nutty brown bread, marmalade, cinnamon, a hint of hickory.
Almonds, sultanas, toasted oak and another good dollop of tangy marmalade.

Tried this today. Very big in the mouth and I've never tasted such a peppery whisky before. Pretty smooth for such a young whisky, only barrelled in 2017. A fascinating dram.
