‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
A deep and musky nose begins with buttered malt loaf, maple syrup and milky coffee with plenty of brown sugar and slowly reveals damp oak, antique leather and drying winter spice.
Palate
Complex and characterful, the palate carries notes of rich dark chocolate, sour red berries and mulled wine-soaked figs. A herbal liqueur element builds among touches of quince and mushroom powder, as gentle oak spice simmer away underneath.
Finish
Ancient oak provides an earthy funk as the dram fades.
Overall
A rabbit-hole of a whisky. Delight in getting lost in it.
