A 1993 vintage from the Gordon and MacPhail Connoisseur's Choice range. A subtle, yet charming single malt from the Speyside distillery, Dufftown, one of the original seven stills of the town.
The nose is subdued and subtle with notes of chamomile and wood shavings with notes of stemmy hay and a little coastal tang. The palate is full of caramel and buttery vanilla with a slightly saline herbal note with fennel and mint. The finish is of medium-length with notes of caramel and toffee, a hint of vanilla and a soft oak.
