Arlett Single Malt - Mizunara Cask Finish
French single malt from Arlett here, made by Distillerie Tessendier who are better known for creating fine Cognac. For this expression, 50% of the blend was aged in new American oak barrels, and 50% in bourbon barrels for 3 years. The two were then married in Japanese Mizunara oak casks to age for a further year.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sandalwood, pepper, cardamom, fresh herbs, toffee, and cacao.
Palate
Orchard fruit, vanilla, oak spice, pine, peach, and cinnamon.
Finish
Long and fresh.
