Description
A fruity addition to the Dewar's cask finish series, this eight-year-old blended Scotch whisky spent time finishing in Calvados casks. The influence of the French apple brandy is certainly apparent, with crisp notes of green apple and aged cider bringing a sweet dimension to the hearty whisky. Ought to be a fab choice for a Highball, with apple soda perhaps?

Nose
Buttery pastry brings notes of apple turnovers, followed by raisin-studded flapjack, vanilla, and a touch of nutty oak.
Palate
A balance of sweet fruit and spice with baked green apples and casked cider countering generous helpings of cinnamon and nutmeg.
Finish
Citrus zest joins in time, with roasted nuts, a touch of toasty smoke, maple, and vanilla.
