The eighth bottling in the Notable Age Statements series, Decadent Drinks selected a 50-year-old vatted grain whisky that was distilled in 1972 and matured in a refill bourbon barrel. It was bottled at a cask strength of 50.8% ABV.
This has all the hallmarks of a great aged grain whisky, lots of coconut, subtle wood spice, citrus fruit notes, and complex flavours of fruit and herbal teas. All presented at a perfect natural strength that balances finesse with power.
