Equilibrium Two 16 Year Old (Whisky Sponge & Decadent Drinks) 70cl

Whisky Sponge and Decadent Drinks have embarked on an ongoing project, seeking to create a perfectly balanced whisky, boasting both sherry and peat characteristics. This is the second in the Equilibrium series, combining two distinctly different whiskies sourced from Edradour – a 2005 vintage single malt, and a 2005 vintage Ballechin (the distillery's peated offering), both matured for 16 years in refill sherry hogsheads. Packing plenty of wood smoke, earthy peat, and drying spice, balanced by meaty malt, dark fruit, and tobacco, it certainly lives up to its name.
