From the Darkness independent bottling range comes a 20 year old single malt distilled by the brilliant Deanston! This expression was given a finish in a specially-coopered Palo Cortado sherry octave cask (much smaller than your regular ol' hogshead), helping to develop its flavour profile and impart some intriguingly delicious elements.
Tangy citrus, with a hint of salted caramel and buttered crumpets.
Sultana, candied ginger, a hint of earthy oak, espresso, another zesty splash of orange.
Lingering dry spices - think cassia and black pepper.
