Deanston 18yo #1858 Bottling Note

A fabulous bottle of 18 year old Deanston, bottled by Hannah Whisky Merchants. This Highlander was distilled in 2000, matured in a bourbon cask followed by a finish in a first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry octave for four months. It was then bottled in 2018 at cask strength for the Lady of the Glen series. Only 60 bottles of this whisky were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Dried apricot, buttery flaky pastry and fresh white stone fruits with a hit of sherry sweetness.

Palate: Cloves, sweet orange peel and a generous helping of sweet, sticky and spicy cinnamon bun.

Finish: A malty finish with a drizzle of honey and a kick of ginger spice following through.
