Deanston single malt, distilled in 2009 and matured for 13 years, including a finish in a Marsala wine cask. The cask yielded a total of 261 bottles when it was opened in 2023, independently released by Alistair Walker for the Infrequent Flyer's collection.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Biscuity malt supports big, bold waves of dark brown sugar, treacle, and toasted marzipan.
Palate
That treacly sweetness carries through with drizzles of runny toffee, sticky sponge, and honeyed almonds.
Finish
Burnt sugar and candied nuts linger beside sweet, cakey spice.
