Deanston 10 Year Old 2009 (cask 6349) - Infrequent Flyers (Alistair Walker)
From the Infrequent Flyers indie bottling series (a reference to many of the whiskies released for this series are made by distilleries that don't get seen all often) comes a 10 year old Deanston single malt. Interestingly, this expression was finished in a rye cask! A release of 243 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Dried apple and cinnamon spice, backed up by a touch of hickory.
Palate
Flaky pastry, honeycomb, very slightly floral at points, though a hint of chilli-chocolate does bring some spicy warmth.
Finish
Barley, peppermint and nectarine.
