A generously aged single malt from an undisclosed Highland distillery joins the Darkness collection. This peated whisky matured for a total of 20 years, including a finish in one of the Darkness team's custom-made oloroso sherry octave casks.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Salty sea breeze and earthy peat smoke lead the way, backed by charred oak, toasted vanilla and coconut, and fragrant woody spice.
Palate
Coal and ash join meaty notes of beer sticks and salt and pepper crisps while charred herbs and brown butter nestle beneath.
Finish
Roasted coffee grounds, dried mint, smoked salami, salted caramel.
