    Dalwhinnie 15 Year Old

Dalwhinnie is the single malt distillery renowned for its great value, gentle whiskies. Full of sticky sweetness and a meaty body typical of worm tub distilleries, the Scotch made here was always a blender’s favourite but its own single malts shine too with their flawless, clean, crisp profile. Dalwhinnie 15 Year Old is a standout that has been Dal-winning its way into our hearts for some time now. The Highland single malt was aged in a combination of bourbon and oloroso sherry casks and has just a smidge of smoke running through it to add depth. Delicious stuff.

Good whisky, but not outstanding by any means

Sherry on the nose, something like Glengoyne but with slight peat. The palate is good and enjoyable (smoke, sweet vanilla, pepper, zest), but then it falls off almost completely in the finish where you get subtle lingering smoke. Solid dram, but too inoffensive.

    Interesting and subtle.

My brothers and I were in Scotland n August and on our way to The Old Course saw this distillery and promptly made a U-turn and we were not disappointed. I and my brothers have been single malt drinkers for 40 years and were pleasantly surprised with this whisky. Very easy on the palate with woody, honey notes, but has just enough kick to make it interesting. My wife has never enjoyed a dram of any of my whisky choices actually enjoyed this one. Pick up a bottle you will not be disappointed.

Would recommend this classic single malt,

My go to whiskey,!,lovely on the nose, earthy, swampy, smokey ,well balanced, with wonderful flavours that rol back up the tongue, delightful in every sense,

Excellent single malt, flavourful and heady flavours of honey, wood and light peaty smoke.

Light on the nose, complex yet distinctive, withvery flavourful notes of honey, wood and light peaty smoke that linger in the mouth and on the tongue. Especially delightful taken together with a piece of slowly melting dark or milk chocolate held for a few moments in the mouth. An impressive overall experience on its own direct from the bottle or even better, softened with no more than a light dash of room temperature spring water.
