An indie release from the lesser-spotted Dalmunach Distillery, which only opened in 2014! This Speyside single malt was distilled in 2016 and spent four years in a single oak cask, after which it spent another three months in a smaller octave. It was bottled in 2020 by Duncan Taylor for The Octave series, with an outturn of 84 bottles at 52.5% ABV.
Sandalwood, green orchard fruit and marmalade, with toasted nuts and creamy malt.
Cigar box and a suggestion of smoke, alongside burnt caramel, oily malt and peppery oak.
Orange peel and apple skin appear.
