Dalmore 17 Year Old 2000 Merlot Barrique Finish - Distillery Exclusive
From the ever-wonderful Dalmore distillery comes this exceptional single malt, distilled back in February 2000. Initially, the whisky was matured in an American white oak bourbon cask, though on 27 July 2011 it was transferred to a barrique which previously held Californian Merlot. Many moons passed, and finally in April 2017 the Highlander was bottled at cask strength, with only 270 bottles produced. Originally this bottling was only available at the distillery itself, but luckily we got our hands on it!

Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Succulent Black Forest fruits, fleshy Victoria plum and sweet apricots.
Palate
Morello cherries, blueberry pie, cinnamon and soft chewy liquorice.
Finish
Chocolate truffles, coffee and black toffee.
