Malty and utterly Dalmore. Seville orange zest, Parfait Amour, malty cereal, barley and chocolate. Creamy vanilla fudge, tropical fruit with a vaguely vinous quality.
Medium, rounded. Winter berries, spice, zesty orange. Liqueurs emerge; Grand Marnier, kirsch and Frangelico.
Peppery with well-integrated oak and the claret makes a last minute appearance.

I love a good dram and for my 80 th birthday, 20th Feb, my Scottish wife gave me a bottle. She stated, “It’s only for our best friends as it’s very special.” I have just finished reading the Tasting Note and will experience a wee dram tonight.
I'm no e pert, but having had a Dalmore 12, and a few too many one evening, I bought this on a click of my phone... instantly I had buyers regret, then it arrived... I love it, it is a beautiful drink, and as such it gets the full 5*! Some people will say it's too expensive for NAS, or they don't like or whatever, but I love, so there!
Best ive had so far"Drinking the dream"?
A very smooth, full and rich deep taste. Easy on the palate, a perfect night cap in front of the fire
Perfectly pleasant, in fact, a very well put together dram but as a NAS whisky at 40%, it simply does not feel good value at £160. Be better buying Glendronach 21.
