Dalmore 15 Year Old Reviews

Smells sweet but finished slightly bitter. I get so much raisins

I get dark raisin or some grape note so strong! Taste isn’t at sweet as it smells. It’s phenomenal in my opinion. Just wish they made the proof a little stronger.

Gorgeous

Yes it's chill filtered , yes it's full of colouring and bottled at 40% but my word what a stunning sherry bomb, the nose is all about chocolate orange and spices , tastes as good as it smells and feels like they've used excellent casks that pack huge flavours, definitely going to buy another

Sweet, fragrant, honeylike.

This is by far one of the better bottles I've purchased. It's got this intense sweetness that fades into fruitiness... This the first sherry cast I've had and I purchased another more recently, looking back on it I might have a thing for sherry casks...

One of the best

I've tried plenty of whisky in this price range and this is still one of the best. Not overly complex but very well balanced and smooth, with a more mature taste compared to the 12yo which is strong sherry. Better off buying 2 bottles at once, it goes down far too easily.

Great taste, pleasant and great value.

on a whim, I asked the bar keep for the best scotch he had. I loved it.. over ice this time and with a great steak.. Sure I've had world champ such as the Suntory Yamazaki but this Dalmore is just as pleasing.

Well Balanced Smoothness

If you tried the 12 year old then you should know what to expect from this one. Less sherry and more smoke, the age really adds a nice depth of flavour and it's still smooth as ever

Just no

I bough this after seeing many good reviews but I can say that I do not like it one bit.
Smells lovely and the bottle is stunning but those are its only redeeming qualities in my eyes.

Harsh, Very very bitter. Oily orange. Any chocolate and spice notes are hidden due to how bitter it is.
My second dalmore (tried the cigar malt) and is the second I disliked so I think I just do not like their whisky........So much bitter, feels like drinking perfume, not a single malt for sure.

If you intend to mixer and want a nifty bottle then fine but I would say spend that £66 on something else that is drinkable if you intend to sip because I don't see how they can class this as a premium whisky, it is all marketing hype due to the lovely bottle.

Designer whisky, you are paying for the peter stag head and not decent contents. Don't let the look of the bottle fool you into thinking this is anything but a vile whiskey.

The most bitter whiskey I have tried to date.

Initially, I thought this was good at the time, but it soon exceeded my expectations. Would buy again.
