A delightfully festive single malt from Dailuaine, joining independent bottler Douglas Laing's Premier Barrel series! This eight-year-old expression matured in a single cask that finally yielded a total outturn of 348 hand-filled decanters, with some superbly seasonal touches to the label. A top contender to pop by the fireplace on Christmas Eve.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Syrupy flapjack, vanilla pod, and toasted spiced fruit loaf with plenty of butter.
Palate
Creamy layers of barley, crushed almonds and cinnamon buns. Toasted oak and marzipan bring vanilla sweetness.
Finish
Orange peel, winter spice, and candied fruits, with drying herbs tailing off in the distance.
