An utter delight from the Dailuaine Distillery! This single malt was distilled in 1997, and spent the following 24 years slumbering in a single ex-bourbon barrel. In 2022, that barrel was opened up by indie bottler Càrn Mòr, releasing a total of just 93 cask strength bottles, without any colour or chill-filtration, for its Celebration of the Cask series.
Delicate notes of toasted coconut, floral violet, and citrus blossom open the way for buttered teacakes and softly nutty spice.
Powerful, biscuity malt brings notes of chocolate and ginger, while leathery oak and burnt caramel nestle beneath.
Spices arrive towards the end, with prickles of black pepper, cinnamon, and earthy vanilla pod.
