Dailuaine 24yo 1997 #9465 Bottling Note

An utter delight from the Dailuaine Distillery! This single malt was distilled in 1997, and spent the following 24 years slumbering in a single ex-bourbon barrel. In 2022, that barrel was opened up by indie bottler Càrn Mòr, releasing a total of just 93 cask strength bottles, without any colour or chill-filtration, for its Celebration of the Cask series.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Delicate notes of toasted coconut, floral violet, and citrus blossom open the way for buttered teacakes and softly nutty spice.

Palate: Powerful, biscuity malt brings notes of chocolate and ginger, while leathery oak and burnt caramel nestle beneath.

Finish: Spices arrive towards the end, with prickles of black pepper, cinnamon, and earthy vanilla pod.
