Daftmill 2006 (cask 021/2006) - Single Cask 70cl Whisky

We split our 9 bottle allocation of this whisky between a 30ml dram lottery, a bottle lottery, and a charity auction (timeline below). Why all the fuss? Read more about this approach over on the blog.

In mid-2019, the Daftmill Distillery released a series of single cask expressions, all of which were distilled back in 2006. This particular bottling was released as a UK exclusive - it was matured in a single first-fill bourbon barrel until 2019, when it was bottled at cask strength with an very small outturn of 234 bottles. Though only a few of Daftmill's whiskies have seen the light of day, they've all been very impressive indeed - and this one follows suit.
