One of the three official Craigellachie bottlings released in 2014, the distillery's 13-year-old single malt Scotch whisky handsomely shows off the bold, robust character of the distillery's output. Think heaps of dynamic fruit notes with a distinctive current of smoke running through the middle. Single malt Craigellachie wasn't seen much outside of indie bottlings for a long time, and we don't take for granted how lovely it is to see Speysider thrive.

Apple orchards in bloom, slightly meaty, burnt popcorn, treacle tart.
Oily malt arrives first, followed by BBQ pineapple and summer berries. Pine nuts and almonds.
A very soft hint of sulphur hides behind biscuit and apple notes.

Not getting the 'meaty, burnt popcorn, treacle tart' notes describe - more a robust, smooth whisky just bursting with gorgeous fruit flavour. Right up there as a top five for me.
This is a terrific whisky, rich with an oily mouthfeel. Plenty of mango and pineapple along with a lovely savoury note. This and the Bas Armagnac cask finish are top notch!
I get a lot of the classic speyside flavors on the nose and palate. Fruitier than most, but a brighter fruit, slightly citrusy. I don't know that I'd go as far as the pineapple. After a few sips, I get a slightly metallic flavor on the back of the tongue which is not offensive. I did not taste sulphur at all. Overall lovely.
Took this right from the bottle, was bland at with no long finnish, which i love. Gave it 13 mins in the glass much better. Then 26 , here the magic begins. Lots of flavour, robust, not long aftertaste but very pleasant all over. Learnt much from this one, sometimes more simply is more, and this time more air is more. Highly recommend for the price
Disappointed with this one. I had read good reviews and thought it worth trying. Nose and flavour both good but neither prepare you for the unique sulphurous/charred finish which I found quite unpleasant. I won't be buying this again.
