Sherry
Distilled in October 2007, this single malt from Craigellachie spent the next 13 years maturing in a single cask, including a finishing period in a ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry cask. In September 2021, the folks at independent bottler Alistair Walker cracked open the cask to release a total of 654 bottles for the Infrequent Flyers series.
Cooked stone fruits and dried berries, floral notes of lavender balance more savoury herbal undertones.
Honey roasted nuts, oily barley with sweet dark notes of dates and plums lifted by delicate vanilla.
Cooking spices and a hint of pine are apparent, alongside sweeter poached fruits and homemade marmalade.

Unfortunately missed the release on Master of Malt, but I managed to get one. This is the best sherry cask malt ever.
