A glorious reimagining of a beloved, but alas extinct blend from the Compass Box days of old! Delos joins the Extinct Blends Quartet, paying homage to Asyla, a blend first created in 2001 and which fans will remember for its vibrant notes of vanilla, fruit, sweet butterscotch, and grain. Asyla was retired in 2018, but here, the Compass Box gang has delved into some of its rarest stock, combining American oak matured malt whiskies from the likes of Glen Elgin, Imperial, and Miltonduff with luscious layers of sweet grain whisky from Cameronbridge.
Tasting Note by The Producer
A sweet succulence that breaks upon the nose in soft waves: ripe pear, pineapple, orange oil and vanilla cream. A medley of fruit tarts and white
chocolate soothe the palate, while the maturity of the component whiskies
gradually builds to reveal guava, heather honey, and chai spices.
