A delightful blended grain whisky, Hedonism really is as enjoyable as the name suggests, a smooth and creamy offering from Compass Box.
Nose: From that first, delectable, introduction Hedonism is all ripe fruit, fraises des bois and sponge cake. Some red pepper provides an interesting point to mull.
Palate: Very sensual, disarmingly sleek and creamy. Black cherry and sweet spices, some cereal notes.
Finish: Very warm and spiced, toasty, some oak and milk chocolate.

Sweet, Sweet, Sweet. Not metaphorically sweet, but literally sweet - and yet it is a lip smacking whiskey. This is a wonderful nightcap if you enjoy dessert. That said, this is a humbling whiskey for malt aficionados. John Glaser (Compass Box's master blender) has created a masterpiece from underrated grain whiskies. If, as a child, you preferred a vanilla to a chocolate milkshake - you MUST try this delightful blend of grain whiskies. Superb.

I'm usually not convinced by blends, but went to a Compass Box taster and tasted 6 of their whiskies. Four of those were exceptional, but this was probably my favourite. Never had a grain whisky before. I usually drink Lagavulin, Dalwhinnie, Laphroaig and Hakushu. Hedonism tasted nothing like any of those, but it's now one of my favourites. It's hard to put my finger on what it tasted like, but I was getting hints of red wine, black cherry and port among other things. Highly recommended if you fancy something unusual.

Have never tried it; a friend recommended it.

The nose takes time to develop, then the coconut really hits you. It's an unusual whisky with a full-flavour – coconut, vanilla, coffee, liquorice and crème brûlée, with an emphasis on the coconut.I prefer other Compass Box's other offerings in terms of more traditional whisky flavours – Asyla (very light but a good morning whisky) and Peat Monster – but it's an interesting and unusual blend. I'd recommend buying the mixed box instead of just this bottle and then see which appeals more.

This is the grain whisky you want, it's absolutely fantastic, I'm filled with joy every time I pour a glass. It's not a big bold whisky but what it is, is far from bland. It's silky and creamy in the mouth with amazing flavors of coconut, vanilla and cream. A small dash of water and after a little while sitting in the glass it becomes more complex all the while retaining its lovely mouth feel.

Yes, amazing...and I'm not one for overstatement...this is deep, full of wonderful grain tastes that go beyond the normal...there is black cherry, cereal, woody oak, vanilla and spme spice. Hedonistic indeed...this whisky is comparatively rare so I've stocked up with several bottles now...and this wonderful whisky has been the soundtrack to some incredible London hotel nights with amazing women....exactly what it was designed to do. Exciting.

Good whisky is good whisky and great whisky is great whisky. This is something you want to pass your lips and totally enjoy....and you do not want to get too cerebral about. Life is short; this libation will not disappoint.

I sampled this at a whisky show and was impressed enough to get a whole bottle but now that I'm 3/4 through I've gotten a bit bored with the way the new wood tones (perfume vanilla, sawdust, fresh sawed log, vanilla creme) are so prominent while the grain's contribution to the whole seems a tad shy in comparison.

This scotch is heaven in a bottle. I first tried this scotch in the 5 tube gift box and this one was completely different than the other two. I liked it so much I dropped the ninety bucks for a full bottle. I've tried Johnny Walker Blue and this stuff blows it out of the water. I highly recommend you try this as soon as you can before it's gone.

This almost certainly the smoothest whisky I've ever had. Sweet and delicious but dangerously smooth - it's really easy to get carried away, it's so moorish and easy to drink (but by no means bland). Nothing like what I'd come to expect from either grain or blended whiskies.

Always had a view of grains that they were rough horrible things, just used to bulk out blends. Having tasted this I realize how wrong I have been. This stuff is delicious and smooth, one of the best whiskies I've ever had the pleasure of drinking. If you have a friend that doesn't like whisky I think this will change their mind.

She needs a drop of water otherwise very strong. Sweet with a little fading bitterness. The water opens up the sweetness. The finish is quite bitter, but the slight burn is very long and satisfying. Not quite sure about this one. Sometimes I like it and others I don’t. But that’s small batch for you – sometimes you get one that is at the extreme end of the flavor range.

One of the most unusual and surprising blends. I originally tasted it in the sample set/box set with test tubes of their blends. This one was a stand-out. We ordered a bottle and shared it with four friends over a long weekend, along with a bottle of Belvenie 15, Highland Park, and Glenlevit 15. Even with that great company, Hedonism was the stand out, especially at the end of a dinner. A great scotch.

Wow. Never even thought about grain whiskies before trying this at a tasting. Absolutely fantastic. Nose is strong with Kiwis and Coconuts, and the taste is smooth whilst still carrying that delicious fruit flavour.

I have recently returned to whisky drinking after a long time away. My forst thought was that the aroma was quite slight and not particularly significant and was taken by surprise by the lovely smooth tasting. Yes a convert indeed - slainte

Well, that night there were three bottles of whisky on the table. Next morning only one of them was empty. It is easily pleasing, it arouses excitement, lustful and not too sweet; but can this passion, this instant gratification develop into a 'relationship' between a man and his drum?

An absolutely delicious blend that will appeal to many. The smoothness and sweetness should see it enjoy popular appeal including to many people who are not normally fond of whiskey. It is a bit pricey but feels worth it to me. I must admit that as a single malt fan, other malt purists may turn up their noses at this a blend. But if you like the smooth malts such as the Macallan or Glenmorangie you will enjoy this. My only criticism it is a limited release! Stocks will run out soon and I love it! A very smooth and pleasant drink enjoy!
