Togouchi is a blended Japanese whisky from the producers Chugoku Jozo, who mature their whisky in a tunnel rather than a warehouse. The name comes from where the tunnel is located, in the town of Togouchi, which merged with two other towns to create a larger town called Akiota. This is their no-age-statement expression, the Togouchi Premium Blended Japanese Whisky.

As stated. OK for a blend. There is a nice spicy finish, but that's it. One and done dram. Good for a high ball though.
Very harsh whiskey. Smokey aftertaste.
Disgusting. Don’t understand the good reviews. Truly awful.
Nose - slight alcohol that fades after opening, earthy scent like mushrooms, faintly medicinal Palate - oily, slightly medicinal, green pepper Finish - an odd, lingering bitter tone that gives way to a peppery note This one seems divisive. I guess I just fall into the camp of people who don't really smell or taste anything particularly appealing here.
Delighted to find a real treat, gifted by a friend who knew I wouldn’t venture beyond British shores. A great friend, and a lovely whisky
