Releases from Chichibu are rare and much sought-after. The distillery was founded in 2004 and started distilling in 2008, the first new whisky distillery in Japan since 1973. This special edition is one of only 1,833 bottles filled especially for Le Maison du Whisky in Paris. It's made up of two batches: five barrels from 2013, aged in a mixture of first-fill bourbon, virgin oak, and a Port pipe; three barrels distilled in 2014 including a red wine cask and two quarter casks.
