Chichibu The Peated 2012 Bottling Note

This is the 2012 vintage Japanese peated single malt from Chichibu, released as part of the Ichiro's Malt series. It was bottled in 2016 at 54.5% ABV, with 6,350 bottles produced. Always very popular stuff, this.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: TCP and wood smoke, with underlying caramel sweetness.

Palate: Slightly grassy at first, followed up by flamed orange peel and earthy pear.

Finish: Touched of grilled fruit and toasted rye bread.
