This is a Japanese single malt whisky from the Chichibu distillery, opened by Ichiro Akuto back in 2008. Their On The Way expression was bottled in 2013 while the distillery was "on the way" to releasing their first five year old single malt. The whisky itself is a vatting of various ages, featuring whiskies which have been matured in bourbon casks and finished in mizunara oak casks, before being bottled at 58.5% ABV.
