Distilled in Virginia by Catoctin Creek, this Roundstone Rye is made from 100% rye, sourced locally whenever possible. It was then aged in new Minnesota white oak casks before being bottled at 80 proof (also known as 40% ABV). It's a sweet, fruity and spicy delight. Excuse us while we whip up a Manhattan...
Nose: Vanilla pod and mocha, with notes of Angel Delight, young oak and tobacco.
Palate: Banana and walnut loaf leads into more vanilla, followed by cinnamon and peppery spices.
Finish: A spicy finish full of oak and buttery caramel.

This is Catoctin's "crowd-pleaser" whisky. Affordably priced for the quality of the single-barrel juice in the bottle. Even at 80 proof, this pot-stilled whisky is very full in flavor and absolutely delicious.
