Cardhu 16yo Special '22 Bottling Note

A rummy Cardhu here from the 2022 edition of the always popular Diageo Special Releases. This one has a pleasant dose of funky tropical sweetness added by finishing the whisky in ex-Jamaican rum casks, while the theme of 'The Hidden Paradise of Black Rock' is a nod to the original name of the distillery, Carn Dubh, or 'the black rock’.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Lovely fruit, apples, peaches, vanilla, baking spices, marzipan, and pastry.

Palate: Peppery, creamy, chilli, vanilla with a saline refreshing edge.

Finish: Peppery, spicy and fresh.

Overall: Very elegant and classic with subtle influence from Jamaican rum casks.
