Well-sherried single malt from the sadly closed Caperdonich Distillery, independently bottled for the Darkness range. If you love intensely-sherried drams, then you've come to the right place. This is a 24 year old expression, and it has enjoyed a finishing period in a specially-coopered Pedro Ximénez sherry octave cask, imparting a wealth of sherry notes (as well as a particularly deep hue).
Chocolate orange, mince pie filling, pineapple chunks, cherry, a smidge of salted caramel.
More chocolatey notes, now with some aromatic oak wafting in. Brown sugar, raisin, molasses, and citrus oils.
Chewy dates and treacle tart.
