Caol Ila single malt, distilled in 1997 and aged in a single Sherry butt. After 19 years of maturation, this Islay whisky was independently bottled by Germany's Sanisbar in collaboration with Spirits Shop' Selection in 2015. A release of 599 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Richly herbaceous, with a hint of forest floor earthiness developing alongside roasted nuts and cooked blueberries.
Palate
More savoury hints, with layers of coffee bean, sea salt and basil leaf. A light touch of chocolate orange.
Finish
Damp oak and tobacco leaf.
