The Worshipful Company of Distillers
1 Jan 1997

This wonderful Caol Ila is unpeated! The single malt was distilled on Islay in 1997, and left in a single cask for nearly two decades. It was bottled at 18 years old for The Worshipful Company of Distillers, dubbed The Master's Cask. The whisky weighs in at 53.3% ABV, with a good balance of sweetness and herbaceous notes.
Cinnamon toast and brown sugar, with chilli milk chocolate and salted caramel.
Vanilla sponge, cut herbs and oak char, with tobacco supported by a hint of sea breeze and treacle toffee.
A mineral touch alongside fresh oak and warming spices.Touches of red chilli and sea salt last.
