Description
If you enjoy your whisky with a good dose of sherry cask influence, then you're in the right place browsing the Darkness range! This single malt from Caol Ila spent 17 years maturing, finishing up in Oloroso sherry casks. The result is a deliciously sweet twist on the whisky's classically smoky, coastal core.

Nose
Crisp orchard fruit with fresh pears and green apples lead to dense, earthy tea, spicy anise, and peat smoke.
Palate
Oily smoke opens the way with earthy ash and vegetal peat. Sweeter notes of burnt caramel and dark currants mingle with smoked meat and cracked black pepper.
Finish
Lingering, drying oak with prickling spice and smouldering embers.
