This single malt from Caol Ila spent 17 years maturing, finishing up in Oloroso sherry casks. The result is a deliciously sweet twist on the whisky's classically smoky, coastal core.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Crisp orchard fruit with fresh pears and green apples lead to dense, earthy tea, spicy anise, and peat smoke.

Palate: Oily smoke opens the way with earthy ash and vegetal peat. Sweeter notes of burnt caramel and dark currants mingle with smoked meat and cracked black pepper.

Finish: Lingering, drying oak with prickling spice and smouldering embers.
