Joining independent bottlers Signatory Vintage's Cask Strength Collection is this Islay single malt from Caol Ila. Distilled in 2007, the whisky matured for 16 years, with a finish in a first-fill oloroso sherry butt for 26 months. The superbly sherried Scotch whisky was bottled without any added colour in 2023, with an outturn of 698 bottles.

Nose

Meaty smoke, with toasted nuts, raisins, and winter spices.

Palate

Sherry sweetness, more barbecue smoke, with some toasted coconut, and more winter spices.

Finish

Lingering smoke, and peppery spices.
