    Single Malt

Caol Ila 14 Year Old 2010 (cask 311739) - Coasts & Shores (Berry Bros. & Rudd)

Distilled at Caol Ila in 2010, this single malt spent the next 14 years maturing, including a finish in a single first-fill moscatel wine cask. A total of 257 bottles were drawn from the cask by Berry Bros. & Rudd for its independent Coasts & Shores collection.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Coastal brine and honeyed stone fruits are joined by notes of plump sultanas, and a whiff of delicate peat smoke.

    Palate

Dense, and oily, with layers of sweet dried fruits, smoked almonds, and a touch of candied lemon. Earthy oak and smoke nestle in the depths, joined by rich dark chocolate.

    Finish

The peat smoke fades while dark brown sugar, salted caramel, and prunes linger with a touch of pepper.
