Caol Ila 1995 (bottled 2007) Moscatel Cask Finish - Distillers Edition
A sherry finished distillers edition from the Caol Ila distillery. Distilled in 1996, the Moscatel wine has coalesced beautifully with the smoked power of the Islay single malt, the feinty notes are beautiful with cigar box and honey.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Quite rich, great complexity. Fruit liqueurs emerge, sherry, smoke, medicinal, tarry. Black pepper.
Palate
Soft and round, pear, fruit salad, earthen. Unlit cigars, herbal, gentle peat smoke.
Finish
Long, thick, smoky, herbal, lavender and fennel.
